Azita Ghanizada

Azita Ghanizada has been an Afghan American actress in the United States who has appeared in numerous television shows. She was born in Kabul Afghanistan her family fled her home country for the US and was granted refugee status to remain. She was raised within Northern Virginia and is the third child of two sisters. Her career on air began with a string of National Commercials. Ghanizada was nominated for best actress at the festival film in 2004's Laura Neri movie A Kiss on the Nose. She played the role of Chiara. She appeared as a guest star in several television shows, like How I Met Your Mother Veronica Mars Wedding Bells Num3RS Bones Psych and Castle. Most recently, she played a supporting character for the film Blood Shot (2009). Also, she was an independent comic in You Only Better 2009. Ghanizada began her career in 2008 when she was a part of the cast for The General Hospital spin-off General Hospital. For season two of Nightshift she played holistic doctor Doctor. Saira Bastra.
