Azita Ghanizada

Azita Ghanizada has been one of the Afghan American actress in the United States who has appeared in a number of TV shows. She was born in Kabul, Afghanistan. Her parents left for the US and were given asylum. She is the middle sister of two sisters, and was brought up to a young age in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada launched her television career through appearances on National Commercials. Ghanizada received the award in recognition of her role in Chiara, who played the central character of Laura Neri's 2004 film A Kiss on the Nose. Her TV guest-starring performances include How I Met Your Mother Veronica Mars the Wedding Bells NuMB3RS bones Psych and Castle. The most recent role she has played is the role of a supporting character on the show Blood Shot, (2009) inspired by the science-fiction movie Blood Shot and independent comedy You Only Better (2009). Ghanizada began her acting career in 2008, as a actor on General Hospital's premiertime spinoff General Hospital. Season 2 of Nightshift saw Ghanizada play the role of Dr. Saira Bhatra, a doctor who specializes in holistic medical practices. Ghanizada was cast in the role of Kelly the Prada salesperson on HBO Entourage.
